Fieragricola 2026 Grows in Visitors and Quality: More Operators from Southern Italy and Stronger International Exchange
Fieragricola closed its 117th edition today with more than 100,000 visitors. These figures further strengthen Fieragricola’s leadership within the international trade fair landscape dedicated to the primary sector.
Organised by Veronafiere, this year’s show focused on a “Full Innovation” format, offering cutting-edge technological solutions that provided concrete answers to industry professionals (farmers, breeders, contractors, agronomists, agricultural experts, agrotechnicians, veterinarians, nutrition specialists, energy managers, dealers) for increasingly productive and environmentally sustainable agriculture—capable of addressing the ongoing climate revolution and engaging with supply chains to achieve shared goals aligned with consumer expectations.
In this context, the exhibition hosted the first edition of the General Assembly of Livestock Farming, organised by Fieragricola together with Assalzoo, the leading association of the feed industry, as well as the signing of an agreement with Filiera Italia for the sustainable production of biofuels.
A Cross-Sector Exhibition Model
The breadth of the exhibition offering—covering agricultural machinery, livestock, high value-added specialised crops such as vineyards, orchards and olive groves, renewable energy, smart irrigation technologies, digitalisation and biosolutions for soil protection, as well as services—represents added value for visitors. It reflects a modern agricultural business model that is interconnected, technologically advanced and based on multifunctionality as a key driver for increasing added value.
“The agricultural sector is increasingly oriented towards innovation, which is essential to meet the challenges of quality, food security, climate change mitigation, market competitiveness and internationalisation,” commented Federico Bricolo, President of Veronafiere. “Innovation has become an integral part of agricultural enterprises to improve efficiency and competitiveness. Fieragricola confirms its role as a platform that accelerates technology transfer, connecting research with companies and markets. Moreover, the event plays a strategic role in fostering dialogue among trade associations, businesses and institutions, starting with the Ministry of Agriculture.”
Growth from Southern Italy and Abroad
On the national front, the number of operators from Southern Italy increased by 10%, with peaks of up to 30% from Calabria and Sicily, thanks to promotional campaigns and roadshows organised in the South during the two years leading up to the fair.
Internationalisation also recorded growth, with Fieragricola increasingly acting as a bridge for the Mediterranean area and responding to technological innovation needs from the African continent as well.
From Wednesday 4 to Saturday 7 February, the event hosted 816 exhibitors from 14 countries (China, Lebanon, Turkey, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Greece, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Spain, France and Hungary), who met foreign delegations and buyers—thanks to the collaboration with ITA Italian Trade Agency—from 28 countries worldwide.
The agribusiness sector was also supported by an extensive conference programme, featuring over 130 conferences dedicated to professional training and updates for agricultural operators.
The next edition of Fieragricola is scheduled from 2 to 5 February 2028.
